În premieră, modelele CMOS prezintă acum caracteristica Face Detection (detectare a feţei) atât pentru filme cât şi pentru fotografii, alături de noi funcţii inteligente prin care veţi putea viziona, gestiona şi împartăşi amintirile. Există de asemenea o gamă generoasă de treisprezece modele Handycam® Standard Definition. SR10E, cea mai slabă dintre cele 3, se aseamănă foarte mult cu modelul UX19, având caracteristici identice. Camera se laudă cu un ecran Xtra Fine LCD cu nu mai puţin de 921600 de pixeli şi poate înregistra puţin peste 16 ore de material HD la calitatea cea mai bună (16Mbps).
